SYT: The Search for Greener Pastures

We embark on a transformative journey to address the pressing challenges faced by Ugandan youth in the job market. SYT: The Search for Greener Pastures is a collaborative initiative between Greener Pastures Overseas Consultants Ltd and Migadde Valentino, the Global Focal Point for Decent Works and Sustainable Economies in the United Nations, convened by Mission Group for Children and Youth.

Our goal is to amplify the voices of young Ugandans, shedding light on their experiences and aspirations in the employment field. By understanding the factors driving youth to seek opportunities abroad, we aim to create for them opportunities, advocate for policy changes and create a more conducive job market within Uganda and abroad.

We will achieve this by providing a platform for young people to share their stories, conducting in-depth research, and forging strong partnerships with key stakeholders. Our commitment lies in offering practical support, such as training workshops and mentorship, while actively influencing policies that benefit Ugandan youth.

Through this initiative, we strive to empower young Ugandans to build fulfilling careers and contribute meaningfully to their lives and communities, both at home and abroad.
